Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23rd, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley has five brothers as well as sisters - two older siblings and a younger sister. The parents of her named her after they believed she could achieve excellence. Cyrus was chosen in 2005 as the star of the Disney TV show Hannah Montana, which is an edgy teenager living an ambiguous life. Her father appeared along with her. This show became a hit and tours sold out, hit records and deals with merchandise followed. Cyrus was a popular teen star. In the wake of her breakout role in Hannah Montana (2006), Cyrus moved to other roles, including playing Ronnie Miller in The Last Song (2010) and Lola as Lola in LOL (2012) along with Demi Moore.
